Seth P. Roye
Principal
Seth founded SPRA after a decade at Rick Kramer Architects, where he rose from an intro level architect to the firm’s leader after Rick Kramer had to step away. During his tenure at RKA Seth became the go-to consultant for countless property management companies, reviewing tenant alterations and conducting façade inspections and restorations.
SPRA is a continuation of Seth’s work at RKA with a renewed focus on participating in the improvement of New York City’s aging building stock. Seth leans on his degrees in History, Education and Architecture to teach architects on his staff ensuring that critical knowledge and skills are transferred to the next generation.
Outside of his day job, Seth is involved civically serving a volunteer appointment as the Chair of the Village of Ossining Planning Board and Architectural Review Board. A former captain of the Vassar College Men’s Swimming and Diving Team, Seth still swims regularly participating in US Master’s Swimming, and has volunteered as the coach of Ossining Master’s Swimming.
Mission Statement
SPRA is a full-service architectural design and consulting firm, catering to residential commercial property managers, developers, other architects, and property owners. Buildings are vessels for interconnected complex systems in constant need of maintenance and renewal. We design and vet interventions that ensure a buildings’ parts continue operate in concert, safely and efficiently. We understand a well-cared for building is a beautiful building. We embrace our role mediating between our clients, municipal regulators, contractors and consultants, ensuring efficient project design and delivery.

- We are curious about history and about new technologies and strive to improve buildings by being sensitive to their history while integrating new technologies into our designs.
- We are mindful of how people are impacted by architecture and construction and work with our clients to ensure that construction projects are designed and executed with sensitivity to the end user as well as to those who live in close proximity.
- We are dedicated to serving our clients with clear communication, and with sensitive flexibility to their varying needs and priorities. Our goal is to know and understand our clients so that we can tailor our services, to ensure their investment in the project is maximized.
